Scrub Me Clean

Scrub me Father, even though I may wince and complain, continue to cleanse me.

May the epithelial scales of this world continue to shed quickly from my body.

Heal me, Your Word is the salve that soothes all that ails me.

Continue to show me with Your loving-kindness.

that my new skin will be soft and supple, from a full surrender;

lathered with Your love,

moistened continually with Your mercy

and sustained forever, by the massage of Your grace.

I pray for this continued cleansing,

that is transforming me will be so radically apparent,

that I am no longer visible- totally transparent to the world,

so that You, Lord Jesus, are all they see.

This is my desire.
